Overview
The Comprehensive Program Review consists of 8 biochemical test kits:
• Urine Amino Acid
• Metabolic Analysis Profile (Urine)
• Urine Toxic Metals w/ Ess. Elements
• Hair Elements
• Fecal Metals
• Comprehensive Stool Analysis
• Gastrointestinal Function Profile (Stool)
• Seratonin and Melatonin Rythm (Urine & Saliva) also including Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, and Tryptamine
Reviewing the results of all 8 tests at one time will offer a clearer picture as to what is going on biochemically and help to provide a more comprehensive evaluation in lieu of testing randomly. For more information regarding this service, please see Dr. Amy's blog post.
About The Tests
Urine Amino Acids: Quantifies levels of excretion of 43 amino acids and their metabolites, and evaluates essential and non-essential amino acid nutrient status in the urine. Also can indicate deficiencies of a number of mineral and vitamin co-factors. Indicated for persons with suspected inadequate protein utilization.
Metabolic Analysis Profile: Assesses urine metabolites to evaluate four critical areas of metabolism: gastrointestinal function, cellular energy production, neurotransmitter processing, and amino acid-organic acid balance. Test results can be used to address fatigue and mood, muscular/joint health, and digestive health.
Urine Toxic Metals w/ Essential Elements: Evaluates urine (random) for levels of toxic elements and nutrients excreted. Indicated for persons suspected of toxic element exposure or of nutrient/mineral deficiencies.
Hair Elements: Evaluates hair sample for levels of toxic elements, and nutritional elements. Indicated to measure levels of nutrient minerals.
Fecal Metals: Analysis of the elements in feces for the presence of toxic metals. The natural route of metal detoxification is monitored for assessment of exposure to, and excretion of toxic metals and elements.
Comprehensive Stool Analysis: Evaluates digestion and absorption, floral balance and metabolism, and immune function. Useful for those with occasional indigestion, diarrhea, and bloating, and malabsorption.
Gastrointestinal Function Profile: GI Effects Stool Analysis Profiles go beyond "old stool technology" to bring you the most comprehensive stool analysis to date. GI Effects Profiles use DNA analysis to identify microbiota including anaerobes, a previously immeasurable area of the gut environment.
Seratonin and Melatonin Rythm: This profile includes Seratonin, Melatonin, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, and Tryptamine.
