This test is comprised of a 30 SNP panel and will include a Methylation Pathway Analysis.
You will receive your results on a CD that will include: data collected from your 30 SNP panel, your Methylation Pathway Analysis based on your results, a work book to help guide you through the program, as well as other addition information.
Description of SNPs: ACAT - 1 SNP, AHCY - 3 SNPs, BHMT - 4 SNPs, CBS - 3 SNPs, COMT - 3 SNPs, MAO A - 1 SNP, MTHFR - 3 SNPs, MTR - 1 SNP, MTRR - 6 SNPs, SUOX -1 SNP, VDR - 2 SNPs, SHMT - 1 SNP, NOS-1.
The MPA contains suggestions for consideration based on an individual's test results. By looking at diagrammatic representations of the methylation pathway we are able to draw a personalized map for each individual. The methylation cycle is the ideal pathway to focus on for nutrigenomic analysis because the proper function of this pathway is essential for a number of critical reactions in the body. Nutrigenomics integrates concepts in molecular biology and genomics to study the ability of foods and nutritional supplements and how these may assist in maintaining overall health and wellness. According to the National Center of Excellence in Nutritional Genomics at UC Davis, "The science of nutrigenomics seeks to provide a molecular understanding of how common dietary chemicals (i.e., nutrition) affect health by altering the expression and/or structure of an individual's genetic makeup... by understanding our nutritional needs, our nutritional status and our genotype, nutrigenomics should enable individuals to manage better their health and well being by precisely matching their diets with their unique genetic makeup."
When considering the Comprehensive Methylation Panel with Methylation Pathway Analysis please keep in mind if you have identical twins you do not need to test each child; their genetics will be identical. Regarding Nutrigenomic Testing and Insurance Coverage: The primary focus of Holistic Health International, LLC is to provide products which support nutritional health and wellness. These products are not typically covered by standard health care insurance for these purposes. This is a test that provides information which may aid in the support of nutritional well being. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. Please note that the only invoice available is the one you will receive with your order. I have practiced in traditional medicine for 10 years as a primary care provider and yet, I have never seen anything so systematic nor scientific in my career. This genetic panel offers the most individual approach to p;atient care while it utilizes the most cutting edge science we have to date. The days of providing "an autism package" have passed. And, although this approach was sometimes helpful, it could also be harmful, implying that all roads led to Rome; when nothing could be further from the truth.Quality Price Value
For years those in allopathic and alternative medicine have speculated over the cause of Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue, Autism, and a host of other vague yet disturbing illnesses. Sadly, we have come no closer to finding the solution and even worse, we are not helping the victims and families. To make matters worse, we imply that it is somehow, their own faults--that they are " flawed" or "mentally imbalanced" and we feel comfort because our families and loved ones are safe and sound.....until of course, they are not . It is an old coping mechanism to lay blame on those we cannot help in traditional medicine. One that I hope will be laid to rest in the years to come.
In obtaining the genetic panel, you have invested in something which is absolutely invaluable! And, although your genes will never change, as time goes on scientists will uncover more genetic vulnerabilities that will undoubtedly prove helpful in expediting the treatment process to some degree. However, one thing that can be counted upon, that as these mutations and weakness become available, they will be added to this genetic panel.
It is indeed comforting to know that those with an insatiable curiosity will not rest until all of the questions are answered. We spent many thousands of dollars on Dr. who knew nothing about autism spec. disorders. And many thousands of dollars on a few who did know a lot about ASD. Some of what they said helped but it still was not a complete picture! One nutritional analysis said my son needed folate and when we gave it to him his behavior got worse. When we received the results of this test we found out he can't process folate. This test has saved my son from getting kicked out of school. Now that we know the proper supplements to give him his behavior is much better and he is succeeding in school. This test is also saving us money because we are not wasting money on unnecessary supplements and miracle cures that hit the market.
