Scott

Director of Operations

My name is Scott but my friends call me Murph. I grew up in Northwestern Connecticut & attended Central Connecticut State University. My mother’s side of the family all reside in Maine, so growing up I would head north every summer to visit. After college I started my landscaping & garden design business, spending summers working in CT & winters in ME skiing as much as humanly possible. After a few years of going back & forth from CT to ME each season, I packed up my business to settle in Maine full time; best decision I ever made.

I have been happily married to my best friend for eight years; we have a beautiful 3.5 year old daughter & a chunky smiley 4 month old son. My daughter loves walking around & eating all the tasty treats in our yard. We have a wide selection of fruits on our property, growing several thousands of strawberries each year, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, along with a mini apple orchard, pear trees, plum trees, cherry trees, nectarine trees, & organic grape vine trellises.

I founded & organize our town’s annual Earth Day (resulting in several tons of garbage being    removed from our lakes & roadsides), I am the mascot for our local ski area (Eddy the Yeti), & I’m the Director of our local area’s snowmobile club (helping with trail maintenance, signage & correspondence with the Maine Snowmobile Association). Being an avid snowmobiler, I enjoy my daily commute in the winter as I can do so through our snowmobile trail. I ride my sled on my one hour commute, navigating the mountainous terrain, & crossing over five lakes on the way to work. I see no cars & no people, I do however see lots of deer, moose, & owls.

I’ve been working at Holistic Health International since 2004, but I have a total of 17 years working for Ed & Amy. Two years prior to joining the company, the Yasko’s were one of my accounts when I owned my landscaping & garden design business. When they were about to launch their e-commerce platform, Ed reached out to me to spearhead the operational side of the business. I truly believed in the work Amy was doing & had faith in Ed & Amy, so I sold my business & jumped on board. Overall, being a part of this company really doesn’t feel like “work”, I’m just doing what I love: helping people.
