DETAILS

Feel Good About Your SNPs: Your Roadmap to Health is the fifth book in Dr. Amy’s “Feel Good” series. The idea behind the “Feel Good” book series is to make you the expert on your path to wellness.

Dr. Amy recommends reading her book, Feel Good Nutrigenomics, as a prerequisite to this book.

Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), pronounced “snips,” are variations in a DNA sequence. SNPs can also be referred to as genetic mutations. These variations occur when a single nucleotide in a DNA sequence is altered.

In this book, Dr. Amy examines why the methylation cycle is critical to health and long-term wellbeing. She reviews the individual SNPs within her custom designed 30 SNP panel (which can be evaluated with the DNA Nutrigenomic Test) and shares her personal experience using supplements to bypass associated imbalances. Dr. Amy also reviews how methylation plays a role in correcting imbalances outside of the 30 SNP panel that The Yasko Protocol is focused on.

The book rounds out the “Feel Good” series (Feel Good Nutrigenomics, Feel Good Supplements, Feel Good Biochemistry, and Feel Good Nucleotides) with the intention to be utilized as a helpful resource for you (and your health care professional) to design a customized wellness plan that incorporates your genetics and unique biochemistry.

AN EXCERPT

I felt it was time to write a new book that focused on my personal observations over the past fifteen years and what I have found is most critical to consider when addressing SNPs. This new book, Feel Good About Your SNPs, gives more targeted suggestions based on the composite of SNP imbalances juxtaposed with biochemical test data. The suggestions you will find in this book are based on my personal experience from completing client file reviews on over 100,000 biochemical tests in conjunction with reviewing tens of thousands of DNA SNP panels for those same individuals.
