Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid molecule and a major component of cell membranes, particularly within nerve cells of the brain. PS plays an important role within the cell membrane contributing to cell to cell communication and helping to maintain the fluid structure of the membrane so vital to normal cell function. This PS is sourced from lecithin which also contains other important phospholipids that contribute to the overall function of the cell. In addition to these phospholipids, this formula also contains a variety of fatty acids that are integral to brain health and function.

Suggested Use

My brain likes this supplement and this brand definitely helps with sleep and sharpness. This is more effective than the other brand I have used that does help but not as much, Double Wood Phosphatidyl Serine 300mg, even when taking 2. The complex must make the difference.

Great Methylation Supplement
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (Low Thyroid) in 1993. Initially I was placed on synthetic thyroid medication that NEVER made me feel better, WAS TIRED ALL OF THE TIME. Many years later I was finally able to convince a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to put me on natural thyroid medication. Felt a little bit better. Then years later was able to convince NP to put me on Cytomel. Felt a little bit better. About 10 years ago, I was able to convince NP to test me for MTHFR gene. Turned out I was positive A1298C, but no real info at that time other than taking methylated B-12 and Folate. Felt a little bit better. By 2021 though, I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and pre-diabetic. Thought, let's see what the internet has on A1298C now. Found Dr. Amy Yasko's list of supplements and started reading through all of them and what they are for, until I came upon this one, and read the description of this supplement and I said to myself, DING, DING, DING! Talked to my NP about taking this. She said, "my this is a good one! I think you should try it." So, I started that day. Now just a few weeks later, I can tell that this supplement has kick-started my methylation cycle, because I'm now off of ALL Metformin (was taking 2000 mg/day). I'm on half of my Olmesartan (was taking 40-25 tab). My total Cholesterol is 152, HDL is 49, Triglycerides is 140, LDL is 79. My weight at my worst was 155 lbs for a 5'2'' frame. I'm now down to 116 lbs. I have energy again! I would say this supplement has been a success for me. With this supplement and a combination of other supplements recommended by my NP, I have more energy now, than I did in my early 20's. I'm now 62. Most Doctors I saw through the years dismissed me when the thyroid labs came back normal and I still felt like crap. Or they wrote prescriptions for anti-cholesterol meds (I refused to take, as I think they're dangerous) or anti-depressants (which I was not depressed.) I was just flipping pissed! I finally have an NP who listens. With her suggested changes and my persistence for following this through all these years, I'm FINALLY where I want to be! THANK GOD! But I still ask myself why did it take 29 years to get here? It's a crying shame, that's all I can say about MOST of the medical practitioners I saw. They may have degrees, but they don't listen, and don't read about new treatments, and only look at test results, not about how a patient FEELS. What a waste of time and money through the years!

Cannot do without this Phosphatidyl Serine
I have fibro/chronic fatigue. Met a wonderful doctor who has helped me live a more fuller life. He suggested this particular Phosphatidyl Serine and I have been on it for more than 14 years. I started taking two capsules a day. As I improved 1 capsule became enough to see me through. In all honesty I have tried two other brands but the metal fog and other symptoms that came back full blast sent me back to Holistic Health.

I was afraid of taking this for years thinking it may increase my constant anxiety and panic attacks. Without medication I am in a state of constant panic attacks. Meaning no sleep and no food. I also have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and MTHFR and restless limb that is severe along with depression, microscopic colitis, cervicsl hernias along with a many other issues. I found that very few drs are helpful or even listen to your presentation. I was hopeless, exhausted and then angry. So started to fix myself with the help of a few wonderful drs. Drs that I kept losing for reasons of having to leave there practice to join larger clinics as an employee. From my observation they were treated as children. I lost two of them due to spending too much time with their patients. I have been in this situation when I was still able to work (time is money). When I did finally start this supplement I immediately realized an increase in my quality of sleep! Amazing! I even have had a few dreams. I have always been tired and could sleep anywhere until it all switched to the opposite. No more dreams which used to occur immediately after falling asleep then I would wake for a moment and fall back into my dream. That all went away. One thing that is truly amazing to me is the fact that I sleep all night through! Never have I done this! Sleep is medicine to me.

Worth the investment--helps with my fibromyalgia-type pain
I have had chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia-type symptoms for 15 years and have in desperation tried dozens of therapies, medicines, treatments, and supplements. As part of an experimental methylation support protocol recommended online, I tried this Phosphatidyl Serine Complex (500mg) at one softgel per day. Over the last several years I have several times tried dropping the use of this product for a few months and then restarting it, and as a result I am now convinced that it is genuinely helpful for my condition. I feel noticeably better when it is part of my daily regimen. Since even heavy prescription narcotics do not entirely control my pain it has been very valuable for me to find an OTC supplement like this that really does help. It seems to make me a little less painful, and that gives me a little more energy. I am a Ph.D. and a scientist, but not an M.D., so I do not know anything about the pharmacology here but I do know how to do systematic observation of results to the best of my ability, and I pass on my recommendation here because I have found this product to be of distinct benefit after comparing it with dozens of others of widely varying applications. This product seemed pricey at first, but for someone like me, a supplement that actually helps is a godsend and well worth the money it costs.
