5 2 Reviews

The Urine Amino Acids (UAA) Test measures levels of excretion of 43 amino acids and their metabolites and evaluates the nutrient status of essential and non-essential amino acids in urine. Amino acid analysis can help identify a wide range of concerns, including the status of dietary protein, gastrointestinal dysfunction, protein intolerance, hepatic and renal function, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and susceptibility to inflammatory response and oxidative stress. Is shipping included in the cost of the kit?

If shipping from the USA, customers will receive a prepaid shipping label with their kit. Shipping costs are the customer's responsibility if shipping outside of the USA. Samples cannot be in transit for more than 3 days.

How do I know where to send my sample if I need to ship the sample myself?

If you are an international customer creating your own shipping label, please ship to the following address:

Do the samples need to be refrigerated and/or frozen?

Yes, the sample needs to be frozen for at least 4-6 hours and kept frozen until shipped. We recommend freezing for 24 hours to ensure your sample is frozen solid prior to shipping. Please make sure to return all samples/cooler in the corrugated shipping box that the kit arrives in as it provides additional protection for the sample.

Indispensable diagnostic tool
Cannot imagine developing a program for my child without analysing UAA in conjunction with OAT and HTMA test. It is much easier to pinpoint key metabolic blocks or imbalances with UAA. I always need to keep an eye on transulfation pathway, while detoxing or starting to work on methylation. My daughter has HPU, and that’s a constant risk zone for imbalance.

This test revealed a lot
This test revealed a lot of amino acids I was lacking in that could help my methylation process.
